Why does lime plaster never mold?
Lime plaster keeps a pH of around 12–13 — a chemically hostile environment in which mold spores simply cannot survive. Its open capillary structure also works as a humidity buffer: moisture is absorbed, distributed inside the wall and released again instead of stagnating on the surface. That is why we can back it with an official mold-free guarantee.
How long does the application take?
It depends on the area, the chosen finish and the number of coats — each layer needs proper drying time in tropical humidity. After a site visit we prepare a sample for your project, agree on the budget and fix the timeline before work starts — no hidden costs or delays.
Can decorative plaster be used in bathrooms and wet areas?
Yes. For showers, basins and spa zones we apply tadelakt — a burnished, waterproof lime finish — and microcement, which is water-resistant when correctly sealed. Both create seamless, tile-free wet areas while keeping the anti-mold benefits of mineral systems.
Is it suitable for facades and exteriors?
Yes. PRATTA mineral systems are formulated for Bali's climate — 70–90% humidity, salt air, UV radiation and temperature swings. We finish interiors, exteriors, ceilings and floors; the Bingin Cottage exterior in Uluwatu is one example in our portfolio.
What is the difference between microcement and Venetian plaster?
Microcement is a thin cement-based coating prized for seamless floors and a matte concrete look — it can be used underfoot. Venetian plaster is a lime-based finish burnished to a glossy, marble-like sheen, used decoratively on walls. Many projects combine both: microcement on floors, Venetian on feature walls.
How is the price of application per m² calculated?
The price of application per m² depends on the finish type, total area, substrate condition, geometry complexity (arches, niches, curves) and the project location. Send us your approximate area on WhatsApp — we will prepare an estimate for your project within 24 hours.
